Sanitation Lead

Description: This person will have primary duties around physically assisting with the cleaning process from night to night, scheduling sanitation tasks and personnel, and verifying job completion per the training material and job aids. This person will also assist with the master sanitation assignments and escalating opportunities as they see fit. The sanitation lead must be very observant, have good communication skills, and be independent throughout the night to execute against priorities set by the supervisor. At times, the sanitation lead may be asked to assist in updating SSOP's and help out with new hire training, specifically as the new hires are demonstrating their ability to physically perform the job post training. This role could over time develop to lead a larger sanitation crew. To keep all production and greenhouse areas clean by sanitizing processing equipment and maintaining the areas in accordance with approved quality and sanitation procedures and serves as the lead person on the shift, assigns work to other sanitation employees and verifies the work is completed. Responsibilities Role may include some or all of the responsibilities listed below) Drive and Assist in cleaning all lines and areas as needed. Perform daily inspections and chemical verifications to verify proper cleaning techniques. Actively participate in the training of new hires & transfers. Responsible for ATP verification at end of cleaning. Assist with Environmental Monitoring Program as needed. Assist with Product Sampling Retention and Evaluation as needed. Assist with writing sanitation procedures and SOPs as needed. Ensure compliance with all GMP, Safety Procedures, Company Policies, Quality Policies, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points as applicable. Operate foaming units, floor scrubber, hand lifts to transport materials as needed. Any other jobs as required by the direct supervisor. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent experience At least 1 year of relevant work experience Demonstrated proficiency in operational sanitation processes. Must possess good reading and math skills to accurately perform the requirements of the job. Mechanical aptitude, good hand & eye coordination is required. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. English Required, Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
