Remembering Amanda: The Fight to End Violence Against Women
On July 3, 2019, our Ayer community was devastated by the loss of one of its members due to a brutal act of violence. Amanda Dabrowski, 31 years old, was viciously attacked and murdered by an ex-boyfriend of hers. In the wake of such a tragedy, it is hard not to wonder if there were additional steps we could have taken as a community to ensure this young women’s safety. It is our hope that through community involvement, education, collaboration, and the use of personal resources and skills, that we are able to better support people who find themselves in such a perilous situation.
Bar 25 had become a frequent place that Amanda would visit, and she quickly became a part of our family. On January 18th, 2019, from 12-2pm, we will be gathering at Bar 25 in Ayer, MA to remember Amanda in an afternoon of food, drink, and fond memories. We are seeking charitable donations in Amanda’s honor to support New Hope Domestic Violence Services and we cordially invite you to join us in support of this cause. If you are unable to attend, donations can be made directly to New Hope by mail or online through their website. See below for more information.
Any participation or contribution made toward this cause is greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for helping us to honor Amanda.
With warmest regards,
Bar 25 Staff.
