The 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division Living History Re-enactors will set up shop from 10 AM to 3 PM in the courtyard at the Museum and offer a program in the museum's 3rd floor lecture space at 1 PM. \n\n\n\nThis is a chance to talk with 26th Division devotees who have steeped themselves in the history and lore of the famous Yankee Division. They will wear uniforms and exhibit World War II equipment and other artifacts relating to an infantryman's daily life in the service. The group will set up tents and bring some jeeps and may even do some drilling and marching throughout the day. At 1 PM\, members of the group will talk more formally about the Division\, the equipment\, and describe their own experiences as re-enactors.\n\n\n\nAs a special feature\, visitors will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of Devens in a vintage World War II 2 ton truck\, known to soldiers as a "deuce and a half." These tours will be held every hour on the half hour starting at 10:30 AM with the last tour at 2:30 PM. Rides will be $10 per person. Space is limited and is first come\, first served.\n\n\n\nOn this day the museum will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to talk with members of the living history group and view their displays\, with the more formal program to start at 1 p.m. This program is free and open to the public but donations to support the museum are gratefully accepted.
