DESCRIPTION:Wachusett Reservoir Watershed Rangers\n\n						 \n\n						                                                                            \n						\n					\n				\n			\n			\n		\n	\n\nDCR TO OPEN WACHUSETT DAM WALKWAY TO THE PUBLIC ON \n\nSATURDAY MAY 7th\n\n2-5 PM\n\nThe Department of Conservation and Recreation announces the opening of the top of Wachusett Dam in Clinton for the public to walk across on the afternoon of May 7th\, 2016.\n\n \n\nDCR is responsible for protection of the metropolitan Boston water supply\, which includes the Wachusett Reservoir and watershed area.  The walkway along the top of the majestic Wachusett Dam has been closed since the 1990s due to water supply security and public safety concerns.\n\n \n\nDCR Watershed Rangers and staff  will be on hand to answer questions and to provide other information on DCR's watershed protection program. \n\n \n\nFor more information or for directions please contact the Wachusett Reservoir Ranger Station at 978-365-3800.\n\n \n\n*DUE TO INCREASED SECURITY BACKPACKS\, BRIEFCASES\, AND OTHER LARGE BAGS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT.
