This means that companies currently taking advantage of NAFTA should be preparing now to meet the new requirements under the USMCA so that they can continue to benefit from preferential duty treatment between the U.S.\, Canada and Mexico under the new agreement.\n\nUnder the new agreement\, companies will see changes to the Rules of Origin\, meaning that some products may no longer be eligible for preferential duty treatment. Additionally\, certifying origin will no longer require a specific form\, though certain data elements must be included in the declaration.
