SUMMARY:* TRIIIBE: same difference at Fitchburg Art Museum
DESCRIPTION:TRIIIBE: same difference\n\n \n\n OPENING RECEPTION: FEBRUARY 7\, 2016\; 1:00 - 3:00 pm\n\n Performance artists Alicia\, Kelly\, and Sara Casilo (identical triplets) and photographer Cary Kolinsky joined forces in 2006 to form TRIIIBE - an artistic collective that creates visual commentary about hot-button social and political issues. TRIIIBE's painstakingly staged photographs\, performances\, and videos play up the sameness of the sisters to provoke cultural conversations about identity\, gender\, equality\, and difference. Behind each TRIIIBE endeavor is a clever and satirical exchange of ideas\; an elaborate cluster of costumes\, wigs\, props\, and make-up\; and a collaborative team that often expands to include family\, friends\, and fellow artists. TRIBE: same difference is the groups's first museum exhibition\, and FAM visitors are in for a triple-take-treat!
