Townsend Military Band Concert 7-7-2022
\n\n\n\nThe Townsend Community Couples Club will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band&rsquo\;s Thursday\, July 7th\, concert on the Townsend Common. \; Couples Club members will cook hamburgers\, cheeseburgers\, hot dogs\, and sausages with grilled onions and peppers to sell to those attending the concert. \; Fried dough\, chips\, hot coffee\, and cold soda and bottled water will be available for purchase. \; A wide selection of homemade baked goods will be offered for sale.
\n\nThe Townsend Community Couples Club is a non-profit organization. \; The money they raise each year is used to fund one or more projects or local organizations. \; \;Some of this year'\;s lawn party proceeds will be used to support the Squannacook Rail Trail.
\n\nThe Townsend Military Band will open its concert at 7:30 p.m. by playing Curnow'\;s arrangement of \;the &ldquo\;Midway March&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;Instant Concert&rdquo\; by Walters. \; \; &ldquo\;Hooked on a Feeling&rdquo\; arranged by Murtha\, &ldquo\;America Victorious&rdquo\; by Bagley\, and &ldquo\;The Beatles: Love&rdquo\; arranged by Bocook will be performed. \; &rdquo\;West Side Story Selection&rdquo\; arranged by Duthoit and King'\;s &ldquo\;The Avenger March&rdquo\; will be played during the first portion of the concert.
\n\n&ldquo\;The Maine Festival March&rdquo\; by Hall and &ldquo\;Bond...James Bond&rdquo\; arranged by Bulla will be played following intermission. \; &ldquo\;Camelot&rdquo\; arranged by Yoder\, &ldquo\;Suite &ldquo\;Espagnole&rdquo\; by Fulton\, and Alford'\;s &ldquo\;Colonel Bogey&rdquo\; will be performed before the Townsend Military Band concludes its concert at 9:30 by playing the &ldquo\;Star Spangled Banner.&rdquo\;
\n\n\n\n\; \; \; \; The New Beginnings United Methodist Church will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band&rsquo\;s Thursday\, July 14th\, concert on the Townsend Common. \; Church members will be selling hot dogs and baked beans to hungry concertgoers. \;Chips\, soda\, and water will also be available for purchase. \; Their baked goods table will feature cookies and brownies.
\n\n\; \; \; \; The Townsend Military Band will open its concert at 7:30 p.m. by playing Lithgow&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Invercargill March&rdquo\; and Longfield&rsquo\;s arrangement of &ldquo\;Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory&rdquo\;. \; Hazo&rsquo\;s arrangement of &ldquo\;Mountain Thyme&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;I&rsquo\;m Still Standing&rdquo\; arranged by Brown\, and Gilmore&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;The Famous 22nd \;Regiment March&rdquo\; will be performed. \; Brown&rsquo\;s arrangement of &ldquo\;Highlights from Jersey Boys&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;Ballet Parisienne&rdquo\; arranged by Isaac\, and Fulton&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Buzzards Bay March&rdquo\; will be included in the first portion of the program.
\n\n\; \; \; \; Following intermission the &ldquo\;Great Waldo Pepper March&rdquo\; arranged by Moss and Grainger&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Shepherd&rsquo\;s Hey from County Derry&rdquo\; will be played. \; Erickson&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Air For Band&rdquo\;\, the &ldquo\;Poet and Peasant Overture&rdquo\; arranged by Meyrelles\, and Winter&rsquo\;s arrangement of &ldquo\;Amparito Roco&rdquo\; will be performed before the band concludes its concert at 9:30 by playing the &ldquo\;Star Spangled Banner&rdquo\;.
