Summer Jams offers aspiring rockers and musicians with some experience a chance to perform in a group with new friends\, play songs by your favorite artists or work on your own original songs\, and learn recording basics under the guidance of a professional touring musician and other members of our talented faculty. Open to guitar\, bass\, keyboard\, drums\, and voice students. One year of lessons or equivalent experience recommended. \n\n\n\nEach day includes band practice\, instrument technique classes\, electives (songwriting\, recording\, music business\, listening and analysis classes\, and more)\, faculty spotlight performances and masterclasses\, and a combined jam band of all program participants. Take the stage in a final concert for family and friends! \n\n \n\nBefore/After Care - $5 before care\, $10 after care per day. Program interns will provide supervision each day from 8:00-9:00 am for early drop-off and from 3:00-6:00 pm for students requiring later pick-up. Before/After Care Registration Form\n\n \n\nTuition: $395 \n\nScholarships are available for all Music School programs.\n\n \n\nRegistration Deadline: July 10\, 2017\n\n \n\nDaily Schedule:\n\n9:00-9:45 am - Instrument group lessons\n\n9:45-10:30 am - Electives\n\n10:30-10:45 am - Break\n\n10:45-11:30 am - Instrument group lessons\n\n11:30 am-12:30 pm - Band Rehearsals\n\n12:30-1:15 pm - Lunch\n\n1:15-1:45 pm - Faculty Spotlight or Masterclass\n\n1:45-2:45 pm - Band Rehearsals\n\n2:45-3:00 pm - Break \n\n3:00-4:00 pm - Combined Band Rehearsal\n\n\n\nPlacement Meetings: All registrants will schedule a 15-minute meeting and playing demo at a convenient time prior to the start of the program with the program coordinator. Students will be placed in a band according to skill level and area of interest. If it is determined a student does not yet have the playing ability to participate in this program\, other learning opportunities will be suggested\, and a refund or credit will be issued for tuition paid.
