DESCRIPTION:Nordic Folk Dance Workshop\n\nMarch 22 @ 12:30 pm - 10:00 pm\n\nSaima Park - Dance Workshop\n\n \n\nThe Revontulet Folk Dancers are excited to present a Nordic folk dance workshop and an evening dance to be held.\n\n \n\nIn the afternoon\, guest instructors Tom Roby and Laura Stern will teach two popular dances\, the hambo and the schottische.\n\n \n\nAnyone age 14 years or older is welcome to attend the instructional workshop. Children of all ages are invited to come with their families to the evening dance.\n\n \n\nEvent Details:\n\n \n\n12:30pm: Doors will open for check-in\, with the fun to begin at 1:00.\n\n1:00-2:30: The schottish will be taught followed by a break with light refreshments from 2:30-3:00.\n\n3:00-5:00: Participants will learn the hambo.\n\n6:00-7:00: A potluck dinner will be available for those who bring a dish to share and also attend either the afternoon workshop or the evening dance.\n\n8:00-10:00: Everyone will have a chance to practice their new dances as well as to enjoy doing others such as waltzes and polkas. In addition\, Revontulet director Leila Luopa will lead some dances. Led by fiddler Christine Anderson\, folk group Oivan ILo will play for the evening. The group includes Christine on fiddle\, John Chambers on accordion\, John Rosenfelder on bass\, Cedwyn Morgan on mandolin\, and Gloria Foster on guitar.\n\n \n\nPreregistration is strongly suggested to aid in planning.\n\n \n\nParticipation fee for either the afternoon workshop or the evening dance is $15 per individual\, $20 per couple\, or $25 for a family.\n\n \n\nFor those attending both events\, the price is $25 per individual\, $35 per couple\, or $45 for a family.\n\n \n\nA registration form can be downloaded from Friends of Saima Park and mailed with a check to Priscilla Borden\, 199 Fullam Rd\, Fitzwilliam\, NH 03447\; or email Priscilla at arachneas@aol.com.
