Hindemith's 'Matthias the Painter' (Mathis der Maler) is a pure instrumental symphony\, which offers a brilliant musical palate for all of our players\, especially the brass section. We switch gears in the second half of the concert with "Dialogues" by Howard Brubeck (brother of Dave Brubeck) with a 'combo' from our jazz faculty.
