SUMMARY:* Hal Ketchum (at Bull Run Restaurant)
DESCRIPTION:Hal Ketchum is one of the finest singer/songwriters to ever come softly into Nashville and then blow outta there in a blaze. His radio hits\, "Small Town Saturday Night\," "Past The Point of Rescue\," "I Miss Mary\," "Hearts Are Gonna Roll" and "I know Where Love Lives\," to name just a few\, sold millions of records along with sold out concerts across the country. And then five years ago\, after being diagnosed with a type of multiple sclerosis that affected the movement of his left side so badly that it prevented him from writing or performing\, he packed up his guitars and left Nashville\, turning his back on a successful\, 20+ year career in country music. But try as he might\, Ketchum couldn't stop his musical wheels from spinning. As he got better\, new songs began appearing. It was a rallying cry for Ketchum\, who decided he wasn't ready to give up music after all. These new songs became the foundation of his newest album\, "I'm The Troubadour\," which finds him ditching the old country rulebook in favor of a combination of folk\, blues\, country and soul music\, tying the whole thing together with the rootsy rumblings of his studio band and the same croon that helped make him a permanent member of the Grand Ole Opry and a regular presence on A Prairie Home Companion. \n\n\n\n''I like to say that I've been successfully misunderstood for 30 years. I mean\, I was a cabinetmaker from Gruene\, Texas. I got a record deal and I had a number one record out of the box\, and suddenly I was a country singer\,'' Ketchum says "and I m really grateful for the opportunities that the country music world brought to me."\n\n\n\nWell\, he's come full circle now and he returns with renewed energy\, great stories (as you can imagine) and a show that will get your toes tappin'\, your heart bleedin' and your face smilin' like Cheshire Cat. \n\n\n\n Video 1 - Video 2\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets
