SUMMARY:* Habitat for Humanity House Dedication
DESCRIPTION:Habitat for Humanity House Dedication in Lancaster on Sat.\, July 16\n\n \n\n(Fitchburg\, MA) Habitat for Humanity will hold a dedication ceremony at the new Wagley home\, 32 Carter Street on Sat.\, July 16\, at 11 a.m. The dedication marks the completion of the first Habitat for Humanity home in Lancaster and the public is welcome to attend the event.\n\n \n\n"There is no need for work gloves on this day\," said Habitat for Humanity executive director Maggie Monroe-Cassel. "Just come share the joy and help us celebrate another Habitat for Humanity success story."\n\n \n\nMonroe-Cassel said that this home was a complete rehabilitation of a derelict property donated to Habitat by the Town of Lancaster. Charlesbank Homes sponsored much of the work with a $50\,000 grant\, according to Monroe-Cassel\, and the rest of the project was underwritten with private donations and fundraising organized by local residents. "We cannot continue our work without the help from local businesses\, hundreds of volunteers and individual donors. This house is the culmination of many people working together\, and what an achievement it is\," she said.\n\n \n\nMonroe-Cassel noted that the project was also selected to be a National Grid Deep Energy Retrofit site\, which helped make the house a model in super energy efficiency. "This is one of two Habitat for Humanity homes in Massachusetts to be a Deep Energy Retrofit project\," she said.\n\n \n\nFor information about Habitat for Humanity\, or how to apply for a Habitat home\, or how to volunteer\, visit the Habitat website at www.ncmhabitat.orgor call 978-348-2749.\n\n \n\nHabitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts\n\nHabitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts is a non-profit\, Christian ecumenical housing ministry that builds simple\, decent houses with people in need.
