SUMMARY:* EXHIBIT: PONDERING MARY\, HER LIFE THROUGH ICONS (Museum of Russian Icons)
DESCRIPTION:March 11 ? May 21\, 2017\n\nFree with admission\n\nCurated by Reverend Chris Visminis\, this exhibit of icons from the Museum?s collection will answer many questions about Mary and her life. The Orthodox view of Mary differs distinctly from the Western view. For the Orthodox Mary is a mature woman who has experienced great joy and great sorrow. Her life is filled with dramatic\, poignant and miraculous moments both as a young girl and a mature mother. Come see how her life is portrayed in icons\; how her relationship with her Son has defined her\; and how the Russians have viewed her complex role in salvation.
