DESCRIPTION:EKG Technicians are responsible for performing electrocardiogram tests\, which monitor and record electrical impulses in the heart. These test include EKG's\, Holter Monitoring and Stress Tests. EKG Techs help a physician diagnose and treat cardiac and blood vessel irregularities. This course will include important practice and background information on anatomy of the heart and physiology\, medical disease processes\, medical terminology\, medical ethics and legal aspects of patient contact. Additionally\, students will have hands-on labs\, including introduction to the function and proper use of all equipment.
