DESCRIPTION:Rodney Crowell is a Grammy winner and a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Hundreds of versions of his songs have been recorded over the years by a diverse range of artists including The Dead\, Andy Williams\, Bob Seeger & the Oak Ridge Boys. \n\n	He first bounded onto the music scene in 1988 with the Top 40 crossover from country album "Diamonds and Dirt". This one album produced an astonishing five number one singles\, including "It's Such a Small World\," with Rosanne Cash\, his wife and partner at the time\, and a Grammy Award for the single "After All This Time." As part of Emmylou Harris' original Hot Band\, Crowell's musical pedigree is unquestionable\, at one time even earning him the right to remake Johnny Cash's singular "I Walk the Line" with Cash himself singing Rodney's reworked melody. He is one of music's best songwriters. \n\n	On Jan 18th\, 2011 Knopf published the new Rodney Crowell memoir\, "Chinaberry Sidewalks." In celebration of the release\, Rodney has been doing a series of intimate\, one-man shows\, playing guitar\, singing\, and re-living the stories in the book.
