DESCRIPTION:May 18\n\nBenefits 101 Training for Community Advocates\n\n9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.\n\nMontachusetts Opportunity Council\n\n601 River St.\, Fitchburg\n\nCentral West Justice Center and Community Legal Aid have partnered with the Worcester County Food Bank to offer a basic Benefits training for community advocates. Benefits Law attorneys will train advocates on the key government assistance programs for low-income individuals and families. This training will provide an overview of SNAP\, EAEDC\, TAFDC and MassHealth.\n\nThis training is designed to help community advocates become more knowledgeable and skilled in assisting individuals and families navigate the different government assistance programs. Advocates will learn the following:\n\n	The basic eligibility requirements for each program\;\n	The rights and responsibilities of program participants\;\n	Resources to help individuals with disabilities receive accommodations\;\n	Strategies to support Limited English Proficient speaking program participants in gaining appropriate services in their primary language\; and\n	Develop skills to identify issues that require immediate legal assistance.\n	We will have two trainings in Worcester county meeting from .
