SUMMARY:* Adventures in Art History (for ages 9-12)
DESCRIPTION:Throughout history\, artists have worked in many different styles. In this class\, we'll learn about what makes renaissance art\, cubism\, and surrealism especially interesting and unique. We'll investigate artwork by artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Picasso and create our own masterpieces in those styles.\n	\n About the Instructor: Annie Campbell is a recent graduate of the Parker Charter Essential School. This past year she worked on a yearlong senior project on the Renaissance and how she could inform her own artistic work based on what the artists of the Renaissance developed and learned about during that period. Annie has been fascinated by art history since her teacher took her class to the Gardner Museum in the third grade\, and hopes to help other people find it exciting as well. This fall\, Annie will be a freshman at Wheaton College in Norton\, MA\, and is looking forward to taking a lot of classes on art and art history.
