DESCRIPTION:7th ANNUAL JANIS BRESNAHAN 5K RUN FOR EDUCATION SET FOR MAY 15TH\n\nRoad Race Features5K Run\, 2-Mile Walk and Family-Fun Tot Trot!\n\n \n\nPlease join us May 15\, 2011for the 7th annual Janis Bresnahan 5K Run for Education!  This year's event will feature a competitive5K runthrough Ayer\, as well as a 2-mile\, non-competitive walk and a Tot Trotfor children through age six.  Additional features will include live music\, barbeque\, award ceremony and fun activities for kids of all ages!  Please note the event will be held on a Sunday this year instead of Saturday.\n\n \n\nThe event will be held at Ayer Middle-High School with race day registration beginning at 10a.m.\, the Tot Trot to start at 11:00 a.m.\, the 5K start is 12:00 p.m\, and the 2 mile walk at 12:05 p.m.  Prizes of $100 will go to the first place male and female overall finishers for the 5K run.  Prizes will also be given to the top finishers in all age categories.  Amenities include course mile markers\, chip timing\, water stations\, medical personnel\, refreshments and restrooms.  Post race festivities will include an awards ceremony\, barbeque\, live music and fun activities for kids until 2:00 p.m.\n\n \n\nRegistration\, donations\, directions and more information can be found on the race web-site www.janisbresnahanforeducation.com.  The pre-registration fee is $10 for the Tot Trot and $15 for the 5K Run or 2 Mile Walk.  The first 300 registered participants will receive a free short sleeve\, 100% cotton race T-shirt.  Race day registration is $10 for the Tot Trot and $20 for the Run/Walk.  All proceeds from the road race will go to the Ayer Education Foundation (www.ayereducationfoundation.org) whose vision is to increase education opportunities for the 1\,300 students in Ayer Public Schools.\n\n \n\nPlease join us for this fun community event and come out in support of Ayer Public Schools!
