DESCRIPTION:The 2nd Annual Downtown Ayer Winter Holiday \n\nCandlelight Stroll & Tree Lighting Ceremony\n\nSaturday\, December 2nd\, 5:00PM-6:30PM \n\n \n\nDowntown Ayer Welcomes the Winter Holiday Season with a Grand Main Street Candlelight Stroll\, Holiday Tree Lighting\, & a new Christmas Television Movie!\n\n \n\nOn Saturday\, December 2nd from 5:00PM-6:30PM historic Downtown Ayer will glow with the spirit of hundreds of Main Street Candlelight Strollers\; will welcome families with the joyful excitement of the Grand Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at the front of our beautiful Gothic-Revival Ayer Town Hall\; and on Sunday\, December 3rd at 9:00PM the ION Channel will air "The Spruces & The Pines"\, an independent motion picture for the Christmas Season filmed in Downtown Ayer in the spring of 2017!  \n\n(See official trailer to movie) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-HHilmxhlc\n\n \n\nThis year marks the 2nd Annual Downtown Ayer Winter Holiday Candlelight Stroll & Tree Lighting Ceremony. The "magic" of the night in Downtown Ayer will come from the 1\,000 candles\, hand-made at Ymittos Candle Factory in Lowell\, MA. Our joyful Candlelight Strollers meet at the Ayer Rail Trail Parking Lot at 4:45PM\; there the Ymittos Candles will be handed out and lit for the "Big Stroll"\; the Candlelight Stroll begins at exactly 5:00PM as we begin our memorable and glowing walk along Main Street to the Grand Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Ayer Town Hall at 5:15PM.\n\n \n\nMain Street Candlelight Strollers will be met at Ayer Town Hall with wonderful Holiday Singing performed by the Ayer/Shirley Middle School Chorus\, and a dance performance by the young dancers of Maria's School of Dance.\n\n \n\nThen the Big Countdown to the Holiday Tree Lighting led by Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus! \n\n \n\nFollowing the Holiday Tree Lighting Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus will be at Ayer Town Hall\, in a magnificently decorated reception room\, to meet and to hear Christmas Wishes from all the children (and even adults) of our hometown of Ayer.  \n\n \n\nSaturday\, December 2nd in Downtown Ayer will be the authentic\, memorable\, meaningful\, and joyful way to welcome the Winter Holiday Season to New England!\n\n \n\nThen on Sunday\, Dec 3rd at 9:00PM\, tune into ION Television Channel and watch "The Spruces & The Pines"\, an independent movie that was filmed in April in Downtown Ayer! You will see scenes from Main Street\, Union Coffee Roaster\, Page Block\, Pirone Park\, and more!
