Current Legislative Threats to Small Business:
- Paid family leave requiring all employers provide up to 26 weeks' paid time off in a calendar year to workers for their own illnesses
- Potential “bullying” lawsuits due to worker reprimands or worker disputes that employers may be unaware are occur-ring in the workplace.
- An employer’s ability to set wages without fear of frivolous lawsuits.
